About
Hi, I’m Jonobie
I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Master’s in Computer Science and spent 20 years at IBM and Microsoft, where I wore many hats— people manager, technical program manager, content developer, and more—mainly in the enterprise management and cloud space. Along the way, I naturally fell into mentoring others, especially minorities in tech, and enjoyed sharing my work at industry conferences.
I eventually became a certified coach through SeattleCoach and switched gears into coaching and counseling. I currently coach individuals, teach classes on beating Imposter Syndrome and fostering Psychological Safety for O’Reilly’s online learning platform, and do clinical mental health therapy. If you’re interested in working with me in a therapeutic context, see SelfWitte Counseling.
Beyond coaching
Outside of work, I like to get creative by bringing art to Burning Man-style festivals, brewing my own beer, and crafting. Once upon a time, I was really into Renaissance-style dancing, which is why I named my practice "SelfWitte" - a Middle English term meaning "one’s own knowledge and self".
